Niki Saint Phalle’s Tarot Garden is a display of extraordinary sculptures many metres high set in the beautiful open countryside of the Tuscan Maremma near Capalbio. This collection of cement, polyester, ceramics and glass sculptures are representations of the 22 major “Arcana” of the tarot cards. By way of example, the sculpture shown above symbolises tarot card number 3 or The Empress. Niki de Saint Phalle’s Tarot Garden or extraordinary sculpture park covers several acres and takes at least three to four hours to go around. Suffice to say, a trip to Saint Phalle’s land of fantasy makes a fun day out for all the family. The garden opens on 28th March 2024. Online ticket sales are available from mid February 2024.
Note: Niki de Saint Phalle is considered to be one of the greatest contemporary French artists. Many modern art galleries in the world contain her work.
